NY: Greene County- Pratt Rock

When you review what to do in the Northern Catskills, Pratt’s Rock is one of the sites you might find.

Located in Prattsville, the rock has stone carvings commissioned by Pratt himself to represent his life.

It’s a short steepish hike about 1/4 mile to the rock.

It is easy to get too since the trailhead is right on Route 23a at the base of the mountains and along the scenic byway.

I can’t say that I would return or necessarily recommend the stop although the carvings are well done and preserved.
