CT: Litchfield County- Topsmead Forest

In the Topsmead Forest lies the former summer estate of Miss Edith Morton Chase in Litchfield Hills.

While understated, I have been here several times to take pictures and read a book. They also allow you to have a picnic on the grounds.

The garden beside the house comes into bloom in the summer but strolling around the fields and the manicured paths is a great place for contemplation.

I have learned to pause and admire the shapes of the trees. These are most pronounced in the Spring as they are about to burst with growth.

Meanwhile since it’s Spring, I’m still chasing daffodils. Below is the link to the CT site with information.
