A sunset paddle that took a little work but was well worth it! First shot is a panoramic shot.

Farm River, East Haven, CT , 9/10/21
On the way to the Sound I noticed the sun reflecting through the top window of a home. I paddled backward, then forward, leaned over to get it centered and then CLICK!. Cool!

Given the rocks were available to me I decided to maneuver myself out of the kayak to strike a pose 🙂

Maneuvering around the rocks was a bit of a challenge but fortunately the water was warm. The rocks can be slippery so remember to be cautious and test your footing.

Felt like I was in a different land for sure.

A small rock island holds the flag. This shot only available from the kayak.

While I rushed back to get back before dark i so enjoyed the colors as I looked back.

Final warning is when I returned to the Farms River marina it was approaching low tide. I barely made it near a dock to get out with the boat due to deep, dark, thick sludge.
I was scolded as the docks are reserved for registered boat owners. I took the scolding as I would have had absolutely no way to make it to the shore through the sludge. I will likely need to find an alternative to this site which by the way you need to pay for.
Here’s my memory blog with particulars from my first launch there for those who wish the info.
