The morning following Tropical Storm Elsa, I took a chance to walk the grounds and see the view at Olana State Historic Site. Should the rain have continued, my contingency would have been an inside tour of the house (for those who know me they’re smiling now as I am known for my contingency planningContinue reading “NY: Hudson Valley- Olana State Historic Site”

CT: Fairfield County: New Canaan- The Glass house
Finding outdoor adventures have been my respite through the pandemic. I’m amazed at how much Connecticut has offered me having been a NYC brat even after I moved here. CT: Fairfield County-Westport (Holiday Stroll)
Seen at first from afar from Interstate 95, I was anticipating my return to Westport to see the holiday lights on the Saugatuck River Bridge. I didn’t know before this visit that this is the oldest surviving movable bridge in Connecticut having been built in 1884. I waited awhile for all the cars to goContinue reading “CT: Fairfield County-Westport (Holiday Stroll)”
