CT: Fairfield County-Westport (Holiday Stroll)

Seen at first from afar from Interstate 95, I was anticipating my return to Westport to see the holiday lights on the Saugatuck River Bridge. I didn’t know before this visit that this is the oldest surviving movable bridge in Connecticut having been built in 1884. I waited awhile for all the cars to goContinue reading “CT: Fairfield County-Westport (Holiday Stroll)”

CT: Fairfield County- Stamford/Greenwich- Mianus River State Park (Stamford Side)

If you walk into the forest expecting a fairytale, it unfolds. “He who gathers together” is the meaning of Myano, the chief for whom Mianus River Park was named. Seems appropriate as it is shared by both Stamford and Greenwich. The gift for me today was seeing the beautiful reflections and the water cascading throughContinue reading “CT: Fairfield County- Stamford/Greenwich- Mianus River State Park (Stamford Side)”

CT: Fairfield County- Drive-Up Off-Season Sunsets (Part 1)

Many of the Connecticut shoreline beaches which are otherwise either off limits or prohibitively expensive for non residents can be accessed post season.
